The New Improved Anglo side of Profweb!

It’s official! Profweb now has an English language coordinator; Norm Spatz has been named to the post. Currently, the coordinator of the Département de Langues at Cégep du Vieux Montréal, Mr Spatz will spend the next month getting to know the Profweb environment, and then in January will take an active role in the preparation of material in English.

Welcome to a New World of Virtual Communication and Teamwork

APOP (Association pour les applications pédagogiques de l’ordinateur au postsecondaire) has fostered the growth of IT use in postsecondary education through diverse activities ironically publicized through traditional media and old fashioned face-to-face presentations. In the autumn of 2005 during a brainstorming session, the idea of developing a real time on-line event using leading edge technology came to the fore.

A greeting hall, a place to gather and exchange: APOP’s 2007 e-conference website of the community of shared practice

APOP Management team

Since last spring, APOP has been working hard. The Association is organizing a conference in synchronous cyber collaboration mode that will take place January 10 and 11, 2007. The main purpose of the 2007 E-Conference is to bring together members of the college community to discuss and share their perspectives, expertise and approaches on implementing IT into academic practices. For this project to be feasible, APOP gives all participants access to a user-friendly website where tons of information will be published about the event.

New college platform DECclic II launched
