It is common knowledge that expenses associated with research are enormous. Everyone involved in research — the people conducting it, the institutions making a living from it, even the companies supporting it — are all too often stung by its costs. On the personal level, should employees of both community colleges and college technology transfer centres consider research as a lifelong means of furthering their training? Is it worth the cost?

The New and Improved APOP Web Site

For APOP, 2007 began with the bang of the U.R. on Line Colloquium and has been on a roll since then. This spring the much anticipated third version of the website will make its appearance. The challenging process of giving birth to the new site was motivated by the ambitious goal of better connecting and supporting some 1,200 members.
