ICTs That Have a Positive Impact on Students with ADHD

Using Google Docs to Teach Essay Writing and Create an Environment for Peer Learning

The collaboration possibilities provided by Google Docs have allowed me to take teaching essay writing to both a higher and more effective level. Peer learning with Google Docs creates an atmosphere of collaboration and makes it easier for me and the students to see the progress being made as well as the competencies being acquired.

Mixing Academia with Wikipedia

Since the Wikipedia encyclopedia and its derivative projects are collaborative in nature and aim to make all human knowledge accessible to all, I thought to ask my students in my astronomy class to participate in this project by sharing their knowledge on Wikipedia articles related to astronomy. That's how I created the Project: Cégep de Chicoutimi.

We’re making a list and checking it twice!

As part of a collaborative laboratory course, the authors are creating an online cooperative science platform between students in the Gaspé and students at John Abbott. In order to test the use of both Google Docs and Moodle forums for writing an on-line collaborative lab report, a colleague was asked to conduct a two-week pilot study of the platforms.

Most of these resources come from CERES, a collective catalog of teaching and learning resources managed by the Vitrine technologie-éducation.
