Preparing for a Hybrid Course to Better Serve ‘Gestion de commerces’ Students of Varying English Skills

During the development of the English in Business course at Vieux Montreal, there weren't enough students in the program to create more than one group whose students' language skills varied from beginner to bilingual. Norm Spatz felt that this situation could improve using information technology. Two or more teachers at different schools could divide their combined virtual class into two or more groups according to language levels.

Doreen Kelly began working with two computer science students, Mathieu Refghi and Joseph Pereira, to help them demonstrate their ability to solve a problem for their final project and wound up helping to create an amazing triumph of programming which could help the people learning and teaching languages in our cégeps.
