About the Author

He holds a master's degree in science (biotechnology) and a doctorate in philosophy (ethics of science). Jean-François Sénéchal publishes in both science and philosophy. As a lecturer, he teaches the course Ethics and Professionalism at Université Laval. Each year, this course welcomes more than 600 students. Students explore the main ethical problems and issues associated with their social role as engineers. Jean-François Sénéchal is also a leading figure in pedagogical innovation and university pedagogy in a digital context. In 2019, he was the recipient of the Prix de la Ministre de l'enseignement supérieur. This award recognizes the inventiveness and commitment of those who work in CEGEPs and universities to increase the effectiveness of learning strategies.
