She has been working as an Editor for Profweb since 2014. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in History and has worked on the design and supervision of a distance education course within this domain. Her work as an editor and participation in different college network events allows her to continuously update and enrich her technopedagogical knowledge. She enjoys lending her writing talents to teachers to help them share their innovative practices. She is particularly interested in pedagogical approaches and resources that support student success and inclusiveness.

From the French Side: Tutoring Tools, Flipped Classrooms, College Research Challenges, Robots and Augmented Reality

A flurry of activity on the French side of Profweb in January and February has accompanied the flurries of snow and cold temperatures. While we have had to cradle our coffee, tea and hot chocolate to keep warm, at least there has been some amazing reading to heat up our semester. On Wednesday, December 10th, 2014, Profweb attended a videoconference entitled Library Research Training Practices (Les pratiques en matière de formation documentaire) which was organized by the Regroupement des bibliothèques collégiales du Québec (REBICQ) and the IT Representatives Network (Réseau des répondantes et répondants TIC – REPTIC).

Encouraging more research in the college network: Some bursaries and funding programs to watch

On January 9th, 2015, Profweb attended the Belles Rencontres de l’ARC (Association pour la recherché au collegial). Throughout the day, many resource-people presented funding opportunites geared towards educational establishments, researchers and college students. In order to support research in the college milieu, Profweb made a commitment to share these potential sources of funding with the Teachers, Education Advisors and other stakeholders from the college network that make up its target audience.
